Man Has Encounter With Strange Humanoid Creature

Description (In Witness's Own Words): it was a semi-short figure, (not like in the movies!). I'm not sure what color it was, but it definitely stood like a human, but with hook-like legs at the knee.  The face looked like it had been severely burned. It came out of literally nowhere! about 20 feet ahead of me in the parking lot. I was startled at first but then I thought that it was just a homeless guy, so I said to it: "Hey, hey buddy what are you doing down here by my car?" it didn't respond, so I walked closer and it started to do kind of a gurgling noise and and jumped back a little, then as I gasped at the noise and stepped back slightly it jumped over the hood of my car (which left a scratch mark) and ran off. Shaken I was worried to get into my car and quickly ,not sure of what I'd just seen went off in the other direction and went home where I started to tell my friends but they didn't believe me! So I went around town for a while and came back home to where now am typing what I had seen. Please respond! I really want to know if anyone else has seen it!

Investigator's Notes:  The witness entered this report on my web site about five hours after it allegedly happened.  I called the witness last night, but couldn't reach him.  I also have sent an email message to the witness requesting more detail about his report.  I have received no response.  Initially I was excited about this report, but given the lack of response by the witness I am inclined to think that this case could be a hoax.  I will reserve final judgment on this case with the expectation that I may still hear from the witness.
