Description: A friend and I were returning from dinner at the Stone Lodge in Port Sanilac. We were driving north on M-25 to return to the cabin on Lake Street in Forester. This is a small subdivision on the shore of Lake Huron. As we turned onto Lake Street, there was an orange/red object in the sky over Lake Huron. It was peculiar because of the color, the size and the speed with which it was moving. We noticed there were no blinking lights on the object and it was moving quite fast to the south. There was no noise and the planes are usually preceded with and followed by noise. At first, I thought it could have been kids with a flashlight, but there were no light “shadows” cast through the trees. It moved very quickly, and on a straight line down the beach. I wanted to take a closer look so we attempted to drive down to the Forester pier. This took about 40 seconds and I realized the object would be quite far away if it maintained its current speed. So we backed out of access road and continued down the street to the cabin. This took about 3 minutes. When we arrived at the house and got out of the car, the same lighted object (or a similar one), was directly to the East, in the same altitude over Lake Huron. Somehow the object was back to a northern position. I ran across the dirt road, momentarily losing visual contact with the object behind some trees. Within 5 seconds I was in a clearing with complete view of the eastern horizon across Lake Huron and with views to the North and South. The object was gone with no trace at all.

Comments: Like most "lights in the night sky" this sighting is difficult to categorize. With no further witnesses little can be concluded from available information.
