Fairfax is About 25 Miles West-Southwest of Washington, D.C.

Description: I was trying to go to sleep in my sunroom. I was looking out the window. I saw a red light out of the corner of my eye and assumed it was a plane until I realized it was not possible for a plane to move that slowly. At first the object was far away, but it wrapped around my house in a weird way until it was not too far above the tree line in my neighbor's yard! I thought it was some sort of weather contraption, but soon it was apparent that it was not. The object hovered for awhile while the lights turned from a rotating red/white to green/blue. The lights started moving fast and the next thing I knew it was far away. At that time the lights were distant. Please let me know if anyone has seen this!

Note: The witness certainly believes that he saw something quite unlike a conventional airplane or helicopter. The description supports this hypothesis. However, like many night time sightings an explanation could be possible if more information were available.
