Sighting Reports 2009Man Sees Totally White Flat Saucer Shaped in Day Sky
Date of Sighting: July 3, 2009
Description: I was in the passenger side of a white van making my way home towards Oshawa from a job I did out in Markham Ontario. At around 7:10 PM I looked up in the sky to my left. About 3/4s down the horizon view heading along 14th avenue I saw a totally white flat/saucer shaped object. I didn't actually think much about it. I figured it was a plane and that the sun reflecting off the surface of the aircraft obscured the view of its wings. Well it only got interesting from there. I watched it go towards the north and then right behind a cloud. Except that as soon as it went behind the clouds was when I realized that I had seen a UFO. It only became clearer that it was not an aircraft like a Boeing 747 and definitely no little plane after it failed to exit the other side of the cloud. As soon as it went 'behind' the cloud I also realized the size of this object. It must have been at least a mile wide. It was simply HUGE. My eyes went bright and I didn't really know what to think. The whole way home I kept trying to debunk it in my head. I never take anything at face value, and it is important to question. I tried to find an answer but I couldn't. It was definitely not a big 747 passenger airliner or a small aircraft or anything like that. I swear on my child's life that everything I am telling you is true. A lot of people will say I am an untrained observer and such, but I have had a vast interest in the UFO phenomenon for a long time and have never seen one until today. I promise everything I have said here is truthful. Now that I have seen this UFO I am 100% CERTAIN that there are things going on beyond our knowledge or at least most of us. What was it? I'm not implying it was extra terrestrial, but after witnessing something like such I am not leaving it out of the question. Regardless of what it was it was huge, it was unknown and I doubt the Military (if it was a secret aircraft) have any plans letting us in on something that big (literally and non-literally).
Note: The witness has made a very detailed report of his sighting and has provided some good arguments that his sighting was unusual. I tend to agree with his arguments that the object lacks a conventional explanation.
