Arlington is in Western Washington About 50 Miles North of Seattle.

Time of Sighting: Around 9 PM PDT
Location of Sighting: Arlington, Washington (See Map)

Description: Our sighting was in Arlington, WA, July 4th around nine PM. We thought it was meteorites, but I wasn't able to find anything in the news about them until I came across your website. I have a video from my digital camera, but it's just a Nikon so it was hard to pick up anything.

Additional Information Sent by Witness: Yes, there were lots of fireworks at that time, but we could only hear them. What we saw was easy to tell that they weren't fireworks because of their height and they came from the north and traveled south until we couldn't see them anymore and kept a constant lumen to them. Since visual contact and until we lost visual it must have been over a few minutes. We thought the lights were meteorites at first, but there wasn't any tail behind them. The picture I sent was a snipped picture from my video, which I would send, but it is over my attachment limit. If you want I can burn a CD with the movie or try to send if to you another way? In your expertise do you have any idea what may have been seen?

Update September 2, 2011: As promised the witness mailed the video on a CD. A clip of the video is shown above. The lights do not appear to be fireworks, flares, Chinese Lanterns & are obviously not meteorites. I don't have an explanation.
