Description: My wife was driving home down Leonard Street (East to West) from work and described some strange, organized lights in the sky as she crested the west bank of the valley, compelling me to come witness. The location was approximately over Leonard Street and Oakleigh, on the Grand Rapids and Walker border.

I dismissed her once stating I was in my pajamas. She's not a UFO hunter and not poking for anything like this. She called back and stated two more had joined, suddenly, and I HAD to come look since they were so close to our house. There were about 10 total lights at that time traveling North to South. The timeline of the night is confirmed by cell phone and camera phone time stamps of the following events.

I walked out in my driveway and saw a light that was very interesting just through the trees. Convinced, I immediately got in the car with my 16 year old son and drove in the light's direction. About 2 to 4 minutes of driving passed and the light barely moved a city block. We stopped about a block ahead of the light in it's North to South travel on Oakleigh. It passed directly overhead as I snapped a few pictures with my iPhone. As I switched to movie mode my son stated that the light disappeared as it traveled over Lake Michigan Drive.

For perspective, the night was very windy. There was a circular storm that even Brian Williams described as a "visitor" as it was leaving the sky over Michigan. The lights were following the tail of the storm, as visibility was gradually increasing in patches. Eventually it became a perfectly clear night. It was beautiful. The lights were unaffected in any conventional manner by the storm. The one I personally saw hovered unnaturally, described by my wife as the "little straggler." The light was brilliant like Jupiter this month, but was of yellow/red color and flew about 500 to 1000 feet. All lights disappeared as a plane took off from Ford International, traveling West, on a course perpendicular and intercepting the path of the lights and at a similar altitude.
