Oval Shaped Object Floats in Sky.Object Looked Like Lamp Shade With Flame.

Portland is in Northern Oregon Across the Columbia From Washington State.

Description: I saw an oval shaped object that looked like a lamp shade with flame in middle, but there was nothing attached. It floated away from us, but at first it looked like it was going to fall on us.
Note: The witness may have photographed a Chinese Lantern?
Comments Sent by Witness: It was not a Chinese Lantern. It was very large. There was a flame inside that was exposed. As it travelled toward the trees I feared a fire would be started. It flew quickly then hovered and then flew East until out of sight. It scared us.
