Description: This sighting took place in the early hours so it was a dark night with broken cloud. I just popped out in the garden for a cigarette when I spotted a bright light in the distance. It appeared brighter and larger than the few stars that where visible. The light traveled towards me and I watched with interest. The object traveled right overhead and was at cloud level as it dimmed slightly as it passed through clouds without actually disappearing from sight. As it passed overhead I could make out the shape quite easily, but I could not hear any engine sound which I found strange. The object then disappeared from view as it went behind my house. There were no flashing lights on it and nothing was rotating. It was just the shape I found unusual and the fact that there were no wings. Nothing to exciting maybe, but I would love to know what it was as it was nothing I have ever seen before. I have sent a crude drawing of the shape that I saw and hope that you will contact me if you have any information.

Note: I don't have an explanation for this sighting. The shape, slow movement and lack of sound make this an unusual sighting.
